The dirt-car racing star, Trey Rickman, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, unexpectedly; however, details regarding the cause of his untimely death are not yet available.
The late Trey Rickman came from a family of racers and began his racing journey from a very young age of 14.
He competed in the P.R.O. Dirt Car Series Super Late Model tour event at the Columbus Speedway.
Trey was the youngest of three generations of local racers, with his father, Rick, Uncle Brian, and grandfather, Eddie, all being exceptional dirt-car racers, and the family is renowned for Rickman Racing, founded by his grandfather, Eddie, in 1968.
In addition to his racing journey, the late Trey Rickman also showcased his athletic skills playing football at high school and college.
He was a member of the New Hope High School boys’ varsity football team.

His loved ones have also created a GoFundMe page to support Trey Rickman’s family. The fundraiser aims to collect $9k, and to date, around $5,858 has been raised, which is 65 percent of the total goal.
Trey Rickman is survived by his parents, Rick and Charlotte Rickman, his brother, Crason, his son, his partner, Alexandra Jackson, and the whole family.
His partner, Alexandra Jackson, took to her social media to express her love and appreciation for the late Trey Rickman. She wrote:
