Dave Parker ‘The Cobra’, a MLB legend who won two National League titles, passed away at the age of 74, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.
According to reports, the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer, Dave Parker, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Dave Parker, a 6’5” baseball star, played in MLB for different teams including the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, California Angels, and Toronto Blue Jays from 1973 to 1991.
Furthemore, his career achievements include 2,712 hits, 339 home runs, 1,493 runs batted in, and a lifetime batting average of .290.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012. After his diagnosis, Dave Parker and his wife, Kellye Crockett Parker, started the Dave Parker 39 Foundation to raise funds for research into the disease.

The late Dave Parker met his first wife, Stella Miller, in 1973, and the couple tied the knot in April 1974.
However, after a few years of marriage, Dave and his former wife Stella separated in 1980. They shared three children whose names are not yet available.
Furthermore, the late Dave Parker married his longtime wife, Kellye Crockett, on Valentine’s Day 1984 and gave birth to three kids named David Parker Jr., Dorian Kellye Parker, and Danielle Parker.
While no information is available about his three children from his first marriage, Dave Parker’s son, David Parker Jr., and his two daughters, Dorian and Danielle, are excelling in their respective careers.
His son, David Parker, who earned his Pharmacy degree from Florida A&M University, lives in Jacksonville, Florida, and works as a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy. He attended Duncan U. Fletcher High School.
Similarly, his daughter, Dorian Kellye Parker, works as a marketing specialist at Pronghorn in Atlanta, Georgia, and as a communications consultant.
Prior to that, she worked as a senior account executive at Octagon and as a Communications & Logistics Specialist at Argos USA, as well as an Account Executive at Liquid Soul in Atlanta.
She also worked as an account executive and coordinator of Carma Connected and Tara. Ink at Miami, Florida, and Account/PR Coordinator of FYI Public Relations in New York City.
Dorian earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising, as well as Applied Communication, from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2010.
Dave’s other daughter, Danielle Parker, works as a credit specialist for Macy’s Credit and Customer Services in Mason, Ohio. She earned a degree in Business Administration and Management from Brown Mackie College in Cincinnati in 2011.
