Sandy Koufax, an American former baseball pitcher who played 12 seasons in MLB for Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers, and his wife Jane Dee Purucker, have been together for over 15 years.

Although Sandy Koufax never had biological children, he got a chance to experience fatherhood from his marriage with his third wife, Jane Dee Purucker, who already had a daughter named Trillion from her first marriage.

Moreover, his third wife, Jane Dee Purucker, was in a marital relationship with American painter and graphic artist John Clem Clarke for over two decades before tying the knot with Sandy Koufax in 2008.

In addition, Sandy Koufax is step-grandfather of two grandchildren from his step-daughter Trillion’s marriage.

Similarly, before meeting Jane Dee Purucker, Sandy Koufax was in a marital relationship with his second wife, Kimberly Francis, a personal trainer for over 13 years.

Sandy Koufax’s Most Notable Relationship Was With His First Wife, Anne Heath Widmark!

Though Sandy Koufax has married thrice, his most popular marriage was with his first wife, Anne Widmark, daughter and only child of American actor and producer the late Richard Weedt Widmark.

On New Year’s Day, 1969, the couple tied the knot quietly in a civil ceremony at Anne’s home.

Sandy Koufax lived a private life, splitting time between homes in Maine and California, and didn’t share much about their marriage.

Initially, Anne Widmark didn’t even know who Sandy was when they first met on the beach in Malibu. Six months after meeting, the couple decided to marry.

Sandy’s life with Anne probably received the most coverage of his three marriages, despite the couple’s efforts to maintain their privacy as Anne came from a renowned family.

However, after being together for over 12 years, Sandy Koufax and his first wife, Anne Widmark, decided to separate in 1982.

Talking more about Anne Widmark, she is an author and artist who published a book named Between Earth and Sky in 1995. She was born on July 25, 1945.
