Max Kepler’s sister, Emma Rozycki, is also passionate about sports like her elder brother!
Kepler is currently in the news after giving his standout performance in the Philadelphia Phillies’ 11–3 victory over the New York Mets on September 11, 2025.
He went 3-for-4, hitting a home run and driving in a season-high five RBIs. He has made a significant contribution to the team’s success.
Max Kepler’s Sister, Emma, Was Also A Straight-A Student!
MLB outfielder Max Kepler has enamored everyone with his exceptional athleticism. However, he is not the only member who is passionate about sports, as his only sister, Emma Rozycki, is a former golf prodigy.
Furthermore, his parents, Kathy Kepler and Marek Różycki, were professional ballet dancers. Although ballet is popularly considered an art form, it requires the physical rigor, discipline, and athleticism of a sport.
Ballet dancers train daily for strength, stamina, flexibility, and precision. Since Kepler grew up watching his parents deeply immersed in this demanding discipline, it has definitely shaped his appreciation for athleticism.
His sister, Emma, was born in 1996, three years after him. Just like her elder brother, Emma grew up active in sports.

Max and Emma attended the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin, which catered to children of U.S. diplomats and military officials. Then, when the Kepler family relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, Emma enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program at Fort Myers South High School. There, she played on the golf team.
Moreover, she is equally inclined in academics, scoring straight A’s and completing a degree at Tallahassee Community College. She was offered several golf scholarships.
On one occasion, she said that both she and Max imagined they would end up living in the U.S. one day because they were fascinated by the “American dream.”
“Max and I always thought when we were growing up that we would end up living in the U.S. because we always liked the whole American dream, like it was this FAR-AWAY fairy tale. He was playing a lot of soccer when he was younger, and he had to make a decision about soccer or baseball, and he went baseball. I think it was because it was a step closer to the U.S.”
She is very supportive of her brother’s blossoming MLB career and is often seen attending his matches with their parents.
When Max was born in 1993, German law still allowed children to take both parents’ surnames, so he became Max Kepler-Różycki.
However, by the time Emma was born in 1996, the rule had changed, and she was given only her father’s last name, Różycki. Later, she added Kepler to her name, and now, she goes by Emma Różycki-Kepler.
“When I was born [in 1993], in Germany, you were still allowed to take both names if you wanted. When my sister was born a few years later, they got rid of that, so she only went by Rozycki. Later, she was able to add Kepler because she really wanted it in her name like I had.”
“Yeah. Me picking Kepler now, it was never awkward with my dad. We spoke about it, I think, once, and he was easygoing about it. He told me, “Do what you want. Both names are family to me.”
Besides these details, there is not much information available about Emma, as she, like her brother, Max, keeps her personal life under the radar.
