M&M Thunder Hockey Player Dixon Polzin’s Passes Away In An Accident Leaving Parents, Andrea and Bryan, Heartbroken

The Marinette community is mourning the tragic loss of Dixon Polzin, a young boy whose life was cut short in an ATV accident on Labor Day.

Dixon sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and despite efforts, he did not survive. His passing has left his family, friends, and the local hockey community in deep sorrow.

Born and raised in Marinette, Wisconsin, Dixon was the son of Andrea “Bell” Polzin and Bryan Polzin.

He grew up surrounded by love and support, becoming a cherished son, brother, and friend.

Known for his energy, kindness, and bright spirit, Dixon left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Dixon played for the M&M Thunder Hockey program, where he wore the #72 jersey with pride.

On the ice, he was admired for his passion for the sport and his dedication to his teammates.

Off the ice, he was known for his warm personality and ability to bring joy to those around him.

The M&M Shamrocks expressed their condolences to the Polzin family and stood in solidarity with the Thunder Hockey community, sharing,

“Tonight, we put our sticks out for Dixon.”

Hockey associations across the region, including the Appleton Area Hockey Association, also extended their support and prayers.

Messages of sympathy poured in from family friends, community members, and fellow hockey families.

Sherrie Mattson-Boivin shared,

“Thunder Hearts are breaking for the Polzin family and hockey family also. I’ve hung the twins’ jerseys out for Dixon. Hugs to everyone.”
