A talented student-athlete, Gavin Vangilder was a 21-year-old student-athlete at MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, who passed away in a devastating accident.
Originally from Carthage, Missouri, Gavin graduated from Carthage High School, where his athletic journey began.
He was a 6’2″ Offensive lineman for the Pioneers in the 2022 class.

At MNU, he was a member of the Pioneers, which competes in the NAIA within the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Beyond sports, Gavin was deeply committed to his role in the Sigma Chi fraternity, where he exemplified the values of Friendship, Justice, and Learning.
He wore the White Cross with pride and served as a mentor, leader, and role model for his fraternity brothers.

Regarding his education, Gavin pursued higher education at MNU with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
