A member of the MX community wrote that Mike was one of the most genuinely nice guys and the one you do not forget. One of Mike’s close friends and the one who had signed him to Elite MX Apparel has started a fundraiser for the late rider’s family.
Motocross Rider Mike Walker Obituary
The motocross rider, Mike Walker, passed away on January 13, 2024. Walker passed away during a solo crash, as said by a user in the MX forum.
A user on the Vital MX forum wrote that the biker passed away at Arenacross in front of his family and friends. Another user shared that the accident happened when they tried removing a bike off the track.
One of Mike’s closest friends, MaKayla Payne, has started a fundraiser for the late motocross rider’s family. In her fundraiser, MaKayla wrote that Mike’s wife and kids were at Arenacross in Dallas, Texas, to see him do what he loved.
The fundraiser’s goal is to earn $8000, and it has almost reached its goal, with the motocross family coming together to support the late rider’s family.
Some of Mike’s closest friends have changed their Facebook profile picture to that of Mike. The image has the caption “Rest In Peace & Keep Riding” written on it.
MaKayla’s husband, Broc Payne, shared another link on his Facebook page on how people could support Mike’s family during the tragic time.
He shared a post from the clothing brand Elite MX Apparel, which was selling the shirt with Mike’s bike number written on it and a drawing of him with wings. They made it clear that all the proceedings were going to Mike’s family.
Friends And Family Mourn The Tragic Loss
Tragically, Mike’s family was there when the accident happened. With the family, the rider lived in Superior, Nebraska.
It is believed that Mike was married to Debra Sanchez Walker and shared three kids with her. Like her husband, Debra is a riding enthusiast, having shared a few pictures of her with her Harley Davidson.
Mike wasn’t very active on social media, so he rarely gave a glimpse of his family life. But in June 2022, he shared a picture of him and his three sons on their bikes.
Other than that picture, Mike’s Facebook handle is filled with snaps of him at various events. Mike is one of two kids of Debra and Michael Walker, with Debra sharing a family picture in Christmas 2022.
After learning the news of his demise, several of Mike’s friends have taken to their social media to pay their respects.
Kelson Kats shared a compilation video of Mike. She captioned the post, “One of the most caring and motivated guys I’ve met.
The passion and love this man had for motocross is unmatched! Thankful for the memories and friendship you gave me.”
