Jayden McCain, a member of the Murray State College Wrestling Team, is survived by his mother, Tiffany Callen, and was preceded in death by his father.
Jayden McCain was a young wrestler from Madill, Oklahoma, who competed for Murray State College.
He was a proud member of the Madill Varsity Football team, where he wore jersey number 28.
As a Class of 2025, he played as both an outside linebacker and a wide receiver.
At just 18 years old, he was known not only for his athletic talent but also for the connections he formed with his teammates and friends.
Tragically, Jayden passed away in a car accident in Marshall County, Oklahoma, on a Tuesday morning in September 2025.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, his car veered off U.S. Highway 377 near Jagger Road in Marshall County and struck a tree.
He was the only person in the vehicle and was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The accident occurred around 9:25 a.m., just northeast of his hometown of Madill.

According to a Facebook post shared by those close to the family, Jayden McCain’s mother, Tiffany Callen (Edgar), is experiencing a tough time.
In recent days, one of her sons, diagnosed with a mental illness, has gone missing, while her own mother is battling cancer.
Now, she faces the devastating loss of Jayden, who died in a tragic car accident at just 18 years old.
This heartbreak comes on top of a past trauma: she lost her husband when she was only 21.
While Jayden McCain’s parents are grieving privately, many others have shared public tributes to honor him.
Friends, teammates, and community members posted memories of his kindness, energy, and love for wrestling.
The Murray State College shared a tribute, saying:
It is with deep sadness that we share that a member of the Murray State College Wrestling Team, Jayden McCain, was killed in a car accident this morning.This is a heartbreaking day for Aggie Nation as we mourn the loss of one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, the wrestling team and all who were a part of his life.
Moreover, there is a GoFundMe campaign named “Donate to Jayden McCain’s Funeral Expenses” organized by Hannah Richroath.
The main purpose of this campaign is to help cover funeral and memorial expenses.
According to the organizer, donations will be directed to Jayden’s family to support a respectful and heartfelt farewell.
