An Oklahoma mother, Stacey Creed, shared a Facebook post a few weeks ago in which she claimed that her game coaches ignored her daughter’s asthma attack and made her continue practicing.
According to Creed, her daughter, who has asthma, was left unattended on the locker room floor during a severe asthma attack.
She also claimed that her daughter’s asthma attack occurred after the coaches pushed the team into excessive conditioning.
The mother described the incident as part of a larger pattern of overworking the players following a 7th vs. 8th-grade scrimmage loss.

In the Facebook post, Creed explained that this was the fourth time her daughter experienced a sports-induced asthma attack due to being pushed too hard.
She said two players have already quit the team, and several others are considering leaving because of the demanding and punitive practices.
When her daughter called in distress, Creed rushed to the school, only to find the coaching staff had not checked on her.
Not just that, when Creed arrived, a coach met her at the door, asked why she was there, and told her she could not enter.
When she asked about her daughter, Maddie, the coach only pointed toward the locker room.
Maddie was left unattended during a severe asthma attack, and she had been told to “go to the locker room” because, according to the coach, “nobody feels sorry for her.”
Creed also noted that this was not the first time Maddie had experienced a sports-related asthma attack due to overly intense practices.
Maddie, who has been active in sports since age four, including softball, basketball, track, and volleyball, had never been pushed this hard before.
Following Creed’s post, many have expressed their support and sympathy regarding the incident, with one person even expressing frustration, saying;
They could’ve caused her to die! I’d be calling a lawyer and pressing charges. If they don’t agree to pursue, I’d be calling the LocaL News teams! This is not acceptable!!!
In the same post, another commented saying;
As a coach of young athletes this is insane to me!! It’s why kids are quitting left and right. They are taking any fun left in the sport and running or griping it out of them!! It’s middle school for crying out loud. And to not let a parent in…. As a the coach I would have called the parent immediately no matter what. I’m Sorry this is happening.
Creed emphasized that leaving a child unattended during an asthma attack is completely unacceptable.
She made it clear that she is not remaining silent and is determined to ensure her daughter’s safety moving forward.
