Myles Borne, an American professional wrestler signed to WWE, fulfilled his promise to his late father, David Bostian, to become a wrestler.

His parents introduced him to the Greco-Roman wrestling style at the Port City Pirates program to develop his self-defense and character.

David Bostian III, professionally known as Myles, became an amateur wrestler in kindergarten and recorded 28-7 victories during high school.

On March 17, 2022, he was recruited to the WWE Performance Center to train with WWE and made his in-ring debut under the ring name Myles Borne on June 17, 2022.

He was a No Quarter Catch Crew (NQCC) member along with Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, and Brooks Jensen.

Myles showed up at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) on July 11, 2024, to assist Charlie Dempsey in defeating The Rascalz’s Zachary Wentz through interference.

On May 6, 2025, he won a 25-man battle royal to become the #1 contender for the NXT Championship and will face Oba Femi for the title at NXT Battleground on May 25.

Furthermore, he was born with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn, a treatable condition. Still, one of the significant side effects of the treatment is loss of hearing, resulting in Bostian being deaf.

Thus, the N.C. High School Athletic Association allowed him to wear his FM transistor in his earplugs to listen to his coach during matches.

Bro I’m not Randy Orton, he hears voices… I don’t hear shit.

Myles Borne Made A Promise To His Father That He Would Be A Wrestler

Few stories in professional wrestling are as inspiring as that of Myles Borne, who faced challenges from the moment he entered the world.

Though his Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn is treatable, it came with a significant side effect: permanent hearing loss.

However, Myles never wavered in his determination to fulfill his promise to become a wrestler in memory of his late father, David Bostian.

David was a passionate wrestling fan who dreamed of seeing his son step into the ring. Tragically, he passed away without seeing Myles in the WWE, but his words left a lasting impact.

My dad and a buddy of ours, [retired pro-wrestler] Sonny Siaki, brought WWE up in conversation and suggested I give it a shot, so I completely switched up my training to prepare for a future tryout. I made a promise to my dad before he passed that I would be in the WWE one day, and that was what I was set on doing.

Myles carried his father’s dream with him, vowing to make it a reality despite obstacles.

The idea of a deaf athlete competing in professional wrestling would seem impossible. But he refused to let his disability define his limitations and turned it into a driving force behind his success.

He trained tirelessly, learning to read his opponents’ movements and mastering the art of in-ring storytelling without relying on verbal communication.

His dedication earned him respect in the wrestling community, where he became known not just for his disability but for his undeniable talent and heart.

Myles Borne’s Mother Was The First To Notice Signs Of His Illness

A mother’s intuition is often the first line of defense regarding a child’s health. Myles’s mother, Bobbi Bostian, was the first to notice signs that something was wrong with her newborn son.

Her quick thinking and persistence led to the diagnosis of Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn (PPHN).

Bobbi first observed unusual symptoms in Myles shortly after his birth and took him to a doctor, where her suspicions were confirmed.

PPHN occurs when a newborn’s circulation system doesn’t adapt properly outside the womb, leading to low oxygen levels in the blood. Without prompt treatment, the condition can be fatal.

Afterward, Myles received the medical attention he needed.

In an emotional interview, Bobbi shared a heartwarming moment involving Myles and his doctor, Dr. Sherif Botros.

That was amazing to me. Dr. (Sherif) Botros was in tears, and we were all in tears because he had been reading lips so well at such a young age. We went to the bathroom and he flushed the toilet, and it scared him to death.
