David M. “Dave” Dillon, a longtime teacher and coach at Naperville Central High School, passed away peacefully at his home on May 25, 2025.

He was a respected coach and U.S. Air Force veteran who left a lasting impression on his community.

David M. “Dave” Dillon was a dedicated educator, mentor, and U.S. Air Force veteran who made a lasting impact on his community.

As a U.S. Air Force veteran, he dedicated part of his life to serving his country before transitioning into education.

Born in Chicago, IL, on September 12, 1950, he later became a longtime teacher and coach at Naperville Central High School.

His passion for guiding and mentoring students extended beyond the classroom, shaping the lives of many young athletes and scholars.

Dave lived in several places, including River Forest and Naperville, IL, before residing in Lisle, IL.

He dedicated his life to service, education, and mentoring students and athletes.
