Bill Elliott, also known as “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville,” is a retired American NASCAR driver with an illustrious career.

He won the 1988 Winston Cup Championship and secured 44 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series, including two Daytona 500 victories (1985 and 1987).

Elliott also achieved notable wins in the Southern 500, Brickyard 400, and the Winston 500, with a record 11 superspeedway wins in 1985.
