Natasha Cloud parents are proud of their warrior daughter. She is always on the front line, not only in basketball but also in social reforms.

Cloud is the youngest of five children brought together in a happy mishmash when her parents got united.

Growing up, it was hard for Cloud being a biracial kid raised by two white parents. But she always had a place on the court which helped her a lot.

Natasha Cloud is an American professional basketball player who plays guard for the Washington Mystics of the WNBA.

Athletic from an early age, Cloud became known after being named AAAA First Team All-State at Cardinal O’Hara High School.

The player accepted a scholarship to the University of Maryland and played for the Terps following a very successful high school career. 

As she didn’t have the comfort of the family, she transferred to St. Joseph’s University for her sophomore year. 

After a successful collegiate basketball career, Cloud was selected in the second round of the 2015 WNBA draft by the Washington Mystics.

Likewise, she won her first WNBA championship with the Mystics in 2019.

The Mystics’ guard loves her parents, Emil and Sharon, with her entire being. She was born on February 22, 1992, and was raised by her parents in suburban Philadelphia.

Among her four siblings, two are from her mother’s first marriage, and two are from Emil Cloud’s first marriage. Their names are Kim Hopper, Krystal McLeester, Tiffany Cloud, and Eric Cloud.

Despite Emil not being her biological father, he has raised Cloud as one of his own. He loved, cared for, and guided her through life.

Cloud’s father took care of her for almost two decades. He worked two jobs and tried to make his kids’ games and practices whenever possible.

Cloud also didn’t go look for her biological father despite knowing his whereabouts. Emil became everything she’s ever needed in a father.

The athlete’s father is ever supportive and says that she has got a big heart.

Sharon, Cloud’s mother, on the other hand, had done everything to protect her child from the negatives of society. 

Cloud, a black girl, grew up with four white siblings and two white parents in a mostly white town. She didn’t notice she was of color until she was 12.

Sharon plays peacemaker in the family whenever there is a rift among her kids. As Cloud’s elder brother holds a different political view, political rifts are a common occurrence.

The former WNBA champion has made a name for herself as an activist athlete. This might be the reason her mother considers she’s got a big mouth

Cloud considers herself a mama’s girl. She credits Sharon for showing her what it meant to be a selfless, strong, independent, and loving woman.

Natasha Cloud is married to her beloved wife, Aleshia Ocasio. Aleshia is a professional softball player and among the best in her sport.

The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in October 2020. However, Cloud revealed the news to the public after months during a “Women’s Basketball” conversation on the social media app, Clubhouse.

Cloud took Ocasio by surprise when she proposed to her in Florida in front of their family and friends in 2019.

Their courtship, however, started with an Instagram DM. The proposal came after they had been dating for 11 months.

The pair are living together happily, and their love for each other has only grown over time.
