Mikal Bridges’ parents separated when he was a child, but they are both ardent supporters of his NBA career.

Born on  August 30, 1996, Mikal Bridges plays for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Before starting his NBA career, he played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats.

Bridges won national championships in 2016 and 2018 during his collegiate career.

Mikal Bridges’ Father, Jack, Attended His NBA Draft in 2018, Although He Wasn’t Present During Mikal’s Childhood

New York Knicks star Mikal Bridges was born to parents Jack Bridges and Tyneeha Rivers

Tyneeha Rivers was only 19 when she gave birth to the NBA player. She raised him as a single mother, while his father, Jack, was absent during his upbringing.

Despite being a single teen mom, Tyneeha tried to give Mikal the best life possible. However, the journey was challenging since she juggled college and her corporate job.

Similarly, Rivers helped her son with schoolwork while staying up all night writing her papers. Tyneeha is the epitome of hustle, grit, and determination in life.

She worked in the Philadelphia 76ers‘ Human Resources Department but left once Mikal joined the Phoenix Suns.

Furthermore, her LinkedIn shows her impeccable portfolio and work ethic. Tyneeha graduated from Cabrini College with a bachelor’s in science in business administration management.

She began her career at Vanguard, where she worked for eight years. There, she held various positions, such as Senior 401K Administrator, Human Resources Supervisor, and Corporate Trainer.

Then, she worked at different renowned companies, holding excellent positions.

Tyneeha is now a Principal and Executive Coach at Nova Dawn HR Consulting Partners, where she is self-employed.

Moreover, she has 25 years of experience in human resources and leadership.

Rivers founded Nova Dawn to support companies and organizations in reshaping cultures, developing leaders, and inspiring employees.

Hence, Mikal Bridges has inherited all the great qualities to become successful from his beloved mother.

Despite all the suffering and turmoils, she never let Mikal stop dreaming and stood by his side.

Although the mother and son initially struggled to make ends meet, their hard work and determination have propelled Mikal toward colossal success.

On the contrary, there is scarce information regarding Mikal’s father, Jack, in the public domain.

However, there is a video on YouTube where Jack discusses his son’s 2018 NBA selection day and overall experience.

Jack was present at the 2018 NBA Draft to support his son Mikal Bridges when the surprise trade to the Suns occurred.

Therefore, this is the core subject of the conversation between him and Mikal’s cousin, Devon.
