Johnny Earl Waters alleges that a student at Kinston High School was sexually assaulted after another student stuck a finger up the victim’s rear end.
The local community is looking into this situation and reaching out to officials for answers.
Sexual assault among high school students is a serious and widespread issue that affects young people. It refers to any unwanted sexual contact or behavior, from touching to rape, that happens without clear consent.
Most assaults are committed by someone the victim knows. Assault is never the victim’s fault, regardless of what they were wearing and where they were.
The trauma can lead to anxiety, depression, academic struggles, and long-term emotional harm. Creating a culture of respect and empathy in our schools is everyone’s responsibility.
