“Never Okay to Threaten Kids”: Facebook Post Sparks Debate Over TBE Rosales 9U Conduct

Paprocki described the team as "one of the most classless" her family had ever encountered.

Youth travel baseball has once again found itself at the center of controversy, this time involving the Texas-based TBE Rosales 9U team.

A Facebook post from North Texas Select Baseball parents Cassidy Kraft Paprocki ignited a heated debate after she alleged that a coach or parent affiliated with the team threatened a group of 12-year-old girls during a weekend tournament at Rocker B Ranch.

In her post, Paprocki described the team as “one of the most classless” her family had ever encountered.

She alleged that once the team started losing, parents and coaches were overhead berating their own children, calling them “F***ing embarrasing.”

Matters reportedly escalated when a man, whom Paprocki claims had been drinking throughout the day, confronted a group of young girls at the pool.

Paprocki wrote,

“In what world is it ever okay to yell and scream and threaten 12-year-old girls?” If you have a problem you can take it up with parents, but it is never ok for an adult to yell and threaten children. Y’all should be ashamed to have this man represent your team.”

Some parents and fellow attendees backed Paprocki’s account, saying they had either witnessed similar behavior or heard about the incident circulating in the park.

One anonymous poster commented,

“OG poster is not lying. My child was at the pool and saw all this go down. Stories align.”

Others pushed back, defending the TBE Roasales organization and suggesting that the incident had been exaggerated. A parent named Lauryn Martinez praised the program, stating,

, “Just joined TBE and it’s a great organization. The sportsmanship they expect and show is 10/10. I’ve seen them handle opposing parents yelling at their players with composure.”

Another supporter, Belinda Nino, denied the accusations. She explained that the adult in question merely asked a child at the pool where his parents were because he was shouting profanity. Nino wrote,

“Before you go on social media and post nonsense, get your facts straight,”

Rocker B, a popular travel baseball facility in Texas, features an on-site bar and allows alcohol near playing fields, something many parents say creates a problematic environment.

One commenter, Matt Story, wrote,

“Why are places allowing alcohol around youth sports? They never mix,”

Still, others shrugged it off, pointing out that Rocker B profits heavily from beer sales and does little to enforce restrictions. One anonymous participant wrote,

They don’t even check coolers anymore. When we were there last weekend, there was a fight at the pool too.

While the specific details of what happened between TBE Rosales 9U families and bystanders at the pool remain disputed, the incident underscores a broader issue in youth travel sports: the intensity and behavior of adults.

Commenter Payton Pennington wrote,

“Why does everyone take travel baseball so serious? At the end of the day, it’s a game. Parents and coaches are taking the fun out of youth baseball. This ring-chasing culture is ruining it.”
