Shooting guard Josh Hart and his wife, Shannon Phillips, have been each other’s rock since high school, balancing their careers with their enduring love story that has stood the test of time.

Josh and Shannon first crossed paths in 10th grade at Sidwell Friends High School in Washington, D.C., shortly after which they started dating.

Since then, they have been together all through attending different universities and growing professionally in their careers.

The long-term couple kept their relationship low-key away from the public eye until they became engaged in 2020.

After their engagement, they started sharing more about their relationship online and in public, giving fans a glimpse into their love story.

High School Sweethearts Josh Hart and Shannon Have Been Married for 3 Years!

Josh Hart proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Shannon, in December 2020. He took it to his Instagram account to share the news with his fans.

In an interview with the Southern Bride, Hart shared that JJ Redick and his wife, Chelsea, played a significant role in his proposal to Shannon.

He revealed that Shannon’s casual suggestion to talk to Chelsea about rings led to Josh facetiming Chelsea at the jeweler’s for advice.

Shannon and Chelsea (JJ Redick’s wife) were going back and forth–you know, doing the girl thing with jewelry–and Shannon looked at me jokingly but half-serious and said, ‘You should talk to Chelsea about rings when you want to do it.’ So a day or two later, I started texting Chelsea about rings and ended up FaceTiming her at the jeweler’s.

A year later, they tied the knot on August 28, 2021, in a beautiful South Beach, Miami wedding ceremony.

The couple also shared beautiful honeymoon pictures from their journey in Mykonos, Italy, and London.

They welcomed their twin boys, Haze Dana Hart and Hendrix Aaron Hart, in May 2023, experiencing the joys of parenthood for the first time.

Josha and Shannon occasionally post pictures with their kids on social media, sharing a glimpse into their family life.

Additionally, on Mother’s Day, Josh posted on Instagram expressing his gratitude and love for Shannon with a heartwarming caption that read:

Happy first Mothers Day! Thank you for bringing these two miracles into our lives. Here’s to changing nasty diapers, the crying and no more sleep

In 2024, the pair celebrated their third wedding anniversary, and Josh posted multiple pictures of his wife on the occasion, writing:

Happy three years my love

Moreover, Shannon occasionally attends his games, cheering him on by the sidelines and showing her support through every victory and defeat.

In addition to her roles as a wife and mother, Shannon is a successful professional in her own right.

Originally from Maryland, Shannon has a background in sports medicine and a passion for healthcare.

Although she played basketball in high school and college, she did not play professionally afterward.

She later changed her career path to sports healthcare and currently works as a pre/post-op registered nurse specializing in sports medicine.

Nonetheless, the couple have managed to effortlessly balance their professional lives with their personal ones, always creating time for family.
