NY Pro Champion bodybuilder Nick Walker has admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs, including Steroids, suggesting you can’t compete at the Top Level Without using them.

Nick Walker, aka “The Mutant”, began his bodybuilding journey in high school, starting weight training at the age of 13 to cope with past traumas.

His first bodybuilding show was in 2012 at the NPC Eastern USA Championship, which was one to forget, but he still got support from the crowd.

Nick Walker Has Completely Separate On and Off Season Preparation Usage

After years of determination, he has written his name in Bodybuilding history by winning the 2021 Arnold Classic and securing top-5 finishes on multiple occasions in the Mr. Olympia.

Unlike most athletes and bodybuilders, the 31-year-old has been open about steroid use in a couple of his interviews, which has helped him in numerous competitions, including the Chicago Pro, New York Pro, NPC North American Championships, and Olympia.

He believes PEDs are part of the process, but not a single tool that can align to help in becoming a Champion, along with disciplined training, strict nutrition, and recovery.

The former Arnold Classic Champion has also described how his PED use changes according to the season.

In the off-season, he uses a moderate amount of injectables, including testosterone and Equipose, and completely avoids Oral steroids to remove liver strain.

Whereas, while preparing for the competition, he prefers using Oral Steroids. For prep, I’ll run the orals: Winstrol, Anavar, Proviron, those will stay in until the end. Most injectables come out about a week or two before the show because the oils can cause inflammation and water retention.”

In another interview, he said, “Growth hormone, I’ll sometimes pull that two weeks out. Depends on the look we’re going for.”

While the bodybuilder admits using Steroid openly to keep a transparency in Bodybuilding firled, do does say PEDs is like “playing with fire.”

He has also called for an increase in medical monitoring and regular blood tests in the sport to protect competitors.
