An alum of Middle Tennessee State, Stone was the 1987 undrafted pick of the NFL team Pittsburgh Steelers (1987-1994).

Stone stated that the first thing he wanted after high school was to join the US Army, and the second thing was being a police officer. Seems, he got one thing out of his bucket list.

“Being a police officer was something I wanted to do to give back to my community. Because my first coach ever, in any sport I played, was a police officer.”
