The incident took place in June 2023 when the couple argued over a social media interaction.
Green allegedly “liked” a photo posted by another man, which led to a heated argument.
According to an arrest affidavit, Green threw Haskins’ shoes in a fit of anger, and the situation quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
During the argument, Green claimed that Haskins pushed her to the ground, causing her to hit the back of her head.
Green fought back, kicking Haskins.
He allegedly grabbed her, removed her from the closet, and pushed her onto the bed.
There, he reportedly strangled her for 10 to 15 seconds.
Green also stated that after Haskins released her, she slapped him, and he slapped her back.
The argument continued to escalate, and Haskins allegedly threw Green to the ground again and strangled her.
Pictures provided by Green showed bruises on her cheek, a scratch on her neck, and red marks on her upper arm.
Both Haskins and Green were arrested after the altercation.
Haskins was charged with aggravated assault by strangulation, while Green faced charges of aggravated assault by strangulation and felony vandalism.

Haskins was later released on a $10,000 bond, and Green was released after posting a $7,500 bond.
In September 2023, authorities dropped the charges against Haskins, and the situation largely faded from the public eye.
Green has mostly stayed out of the media spotlight following the incident.
Haskins continued his career after the incident.
However, the NFL temporarily suspended him and placed him on the Commissioner Exempt List.
