The two celebrated NFL stars, Eric Allen and Marcus Allen, don’t have any familial connection, even though they share the same last name.

Marcus Allen, the former NFL running back, was born on March 26, 1960, in San Diego, California.

Eric Allen, on the other hand, was born on November 22, 1965, in San Diego, California.

Although both of them were born in San Diego, there is no record of them being related by blood.

Marcus’s brother, Damon Allen, was also an athlete and became one of the most successful quarterbacks in Canadian Football League (CFL) history.

Both Marcus and Eric come from different families and backgrounds.

Marcus Allen and Eric Allen are Only Related by NFL Careers!

Retired football player Marcus Allen had an incredible NFL career as a running back.

He is best known for his time with the Los Angeles Raiders from 1982 to 1992 and for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1993 to 1997. Marcus rushed for over 12,000 yards and scored 145 touchdowns.

He won the Heisman Trophy in college, a Super Bowl with the Raiders, and was named NFL MVP in 1985.

Marcus’s famous 74-yard touchdown run in Super Bowl XVIII remains one of the most iconic plays in NFL history.

He retired after the 1997 season and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

Since retirement, he has worked as a television football analyst, appeared at NFL events, and taken part in charity work.

Speaking of Eric Allen, he made his mark as a cornerback in the NFL, playing mainly for the Philadelphia Eagles, from 1988 to 1994.

Then he had stints at the New Orleans Saints from 1995 to 1997 and finally the Oakland Raiders from 1998 to 2001.

Over his career, he recorded 54 interceptions, returning eight of them for touchdowns. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and earned a reputation for his consistency.

Eric Allen retired after the 2001 season. Since then, he has worked as a football analyst for ESPN and the Pac-12 Network.

He also spends time mentoring defensive backs, sharing his experience with younger athletes, and is active in community outreach programs.
