New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson’s girlfriend, Shay Holle, is a former basketball player who comes from an athletic family, with both of her parents involved in sports.
Shay Holle’s parents are Eric and Michelle Holle. Eric is a former defensive lineman who played college football for the University of Texas Longhorns in the early 1980s.
Eric was selected in the fifth round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs and went on to play four seasons in the NFL, appearing in 56 games over his career.
Shay’s father has remained a strong presence in Shay’s life, attending her games and sharing insights from his own experiences in college and professional football.
During her time with the Texas Longhorns, Shay even described her dad as her role model, crediting him for helping her grow and succeed in the world of sports. In an interview, she shared:
“My dad knows what it takes and what you need to do outside of the sport and within it, Just having him around to guide me and because he went to Texas, I’ve always looked up to him.”
Just like her dad, each member in Shay’s family was involved in the sports her mother, Michelle, played. She first played college softball at Blinn College, then at Angelo State University.
Michelle herself is a Texas State alumna, and both of her daughters (Shay’s older twin sisters, Brooke and Bailey) later played basketball at Texas State.
Michelle’s sports background, paired with her husband Eric’s football career, helped Shay grow in an environment where her sports path could lead to success.

Both of Shay’s parents have played a significant role in supporting her basketball journey, which is currently shining brightly. Shay Holle became the all-time winningest player in Texas basketball history in January 2025.

Shay and Garret relationship came to an public eye on September 2024 when they were spotted together at the U.S. Open in New York.
