Nick Soares was a Rhode Island native who made a significant impact in the world of independent films.

He was the host of The Cinema Lords Podcast, where he enthusiastically and insightfully discussed movies, TV shows, and trailers.

Every week, Nick and his rotating guests broke down new releases, shared news, and sparked lively debates about favorites like House of the Dragon, Rings of Power, and Marvel projects.

His podcast was a welcoming space for fans to dive into the stories they loved. Above all, it was Nick’s energy that made every episode feel like a conversation with a friend.

Beyond podcasting, Nick was a filmmaker and producer, known for works like The Recording (2014) and A Brush with Death (2007).

He also served as CEO of GoDigital, a company that helped independent filmmakers share their work with the world through platforms like iTunes and Amazon.

Nick believed in giving small-scale creators a chance to shine, and he championed lesser-known films that often struggled for attention.

The “miniverse,” a community of indie film lovers, adored Nick for his positivity and support. He used social media to connect with fans, share reviews, and promote other creators.

During this difficult time, we offer our heartfelt condolences to Nick’s parents, siblings, and extended family.

Rest Easy, Nick Soares!
