Bryce Tate took his last breath suddenly on November 6, 2025, somewhere between 7:17 and 7:28 p.m. at the young age of 15 years old.
Sadly, Bryce passed away just seven months after celebrating his 15th birthday on April 2, 2025.
Bryce Tate is survived by his parents, Adam and Amanda Tate.
He took his own life while his mother was in the bath and his father was at work.
Amanda, his mother, penned a lengthy tribute post on Facebook, writing an eulogy and prayer request.
She started the post expressing gratitude for all the support and love they’ve been receiving since Bryce’s tragic demise, writing:
I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to Adam Tate and I during this incredibly heartbreaking and disturbing time. It doesnt seem real. 💔

She added, “He was so loved everyday. It was 49 days until Christmas with two of his presents already wrapped and under the tree… 💔“
Then she expressed her gratitude for having him as her son for 15 and a half years. She wrote:
I am so thankful for the 15 & a half years I had the pleasure of being Bryce’s mother. He was a wonderful kid and a good person!

We are asking for prayers for us and for all of Bryce’s friends and family who love him! I know our angel is still with us.
Amanda shared her heartbreak over needing to visit the funeral home, choose an outfit for Bryce, gather photos, and write his obituary, all the tasks she must face, though painfully, because she is his mother.
She writes:
We have to go to the funeral home today to get his service in order. We were advised to pick an outfit out for him, a collection of pictures, and to write his obituary before we go. I’m going to try to do this, I have to do this, unfortunately, because I am his mother. 💔😭😭

“Please pray for me and his dad, Adam, his grandparents, his family, and all of his friends and everyone who may have met him or knew him. Thank you! 🙏,” she requested everyone to keep their family in prayers.
Jess Nicole Westfall, the mother of Bryce’s best friend Talan, expressed her sadness over the tragic loss of Bryce.
Bryce and Talan were friends since elementary school, played baseball together, and stayed in touch even after they moved.
Talan didn’t say a lot, for it was difficult to process the loss; however, he quietly honored Bryce by writing “Play for Bryce Tate” on his wrist during a game. The gesture spoke what words couldn’t say.
Jess urged everyone to keep his family in prayers:
PLEASE pray for all who love this sweet boy, especially his mom and dad. I can’t begin to fathom their hurt. I pray God grants them peace that only He can. I pray as a community, we can hold them up and show them love through the tough days ahead. I pray that we can turn this tragedy into better advocacy…keeping Bryce’s spirit alive. 💔🖤
