Marty Collins, the father of Millville High School’s Homecoming King Shermar Collins, shared a troublesome incident in a Facebook post.
He stated that while walking over to congratulate his son, after he won Homecoming King, a few people attacked him and his daughter.
Furthermore, he described it as a physical assault that disrupted the celebration and expressed regret, apologizing to his son for letting the incident happen.

According to Marty Collins’ own words, the incident occurred right after his son Shermar was crowned Homecoming King.
As he approached Shermar to celebrate, four men and their mother allegedly began physically attacking him and his daughter, Shanyia Collins.
Collins posted a video of the confrontation on Facebook, making the situation public.
