The community in Asheboro, North Carolina, is mourning the unexpected passing of Taylor Staley, a devoted mother, partner, and friend whose life touched many people deeply.

Taylor, who lived in Asheboro and had roots in nearby Sophia, left behind her young daughter, Kingsley, her partner Andy Jolliffe, a passionate motorcyclist, and Andy’s son, Koen.

The family had built a loving home together, blending their lives with joy and support.

News of Taylor Staley’s death spread quickly through emotional social media posts from her family and friends.

Her brother, Jacob Staley, shared a heartbreaking message on Facebook that captured the shock and pain everyone felt.

He wrote,

“I’m lost for words. My sister. I’m heart broken. It doesn’t feel real and there’s truly nothing I can do. We’ve been through everything together. You were my best friend through everything. You always believed in me when I had no one. Anytime I told you I was going to do something you supported me. You’ve always been here and I’ll miss your voice, your jokes, your smile, your presence everything. You made me mad and we had our moments but I’ll never get to see you again. You always done everything you could for me and mine. You were the best sister. The best aunt the best mother. All the odds stacked on you and you still managed to overcome. This was not the phone call I expected to get Taylor life will never be the same. You were the light in so many peoples life’s. I love you sissy forever. You will always be my light. I will carry your name forever. Your daughter will know how great you was and all your nieces and nephews. Until I see you again sissy. I love you so much.”

Taylor grew up in Sophia and attended Randleman High School. She later made Asheboro her home, where she worked as a pharmacy technician at Publix.

Those who knew her described her as someone who overcame challenges with strength and determination, always putting her family first.

Just days before her passing, her partner Andy Jolliffe shared a touching photo of the couple on social media with a caption that now feels even more poignant.

He wrote,

“That H stands for home. Home isn’t always some walls and a roof. Sometimes its that breath of fresh air. Sometimes is the sun shining even when it’s raining. Sometimes its the one you can’t look away from. Sometimes its the only thing that seems like there is any hope in this crazy world we live in. Taylor you make that small word so much bigger.”

The exact cause of Taylor Staley’s death has not been made public at this time, leaving many questions unanswered as the family processes their grief.

In response to this tragic loss, especially heartbreaking as it happened around Christmas, a GoFundMe campaign was launched by family friend Allison Hadsock to support Taylor’s three-year-old daughter, Kingsley.

The fundraiser, titled “Supporting Kingsley,” has a goal of $3,500 to help cover future needs like childcare, education, clothing, medical expenses, and activities.

The description reads,

“We are starting this GoFundMe for Kingsley, a precious three-year-old little girl who has just experienced the unimaginable, losing her mama right here at Christmas. Nothing can prepare a child for a loss like this, and nothing can replace the love of a mother. Our hope with this fund is to help ease the financial burden Kingsley may face as she grows, so she can be supported, cared for, and surrounded by love in the years ahead… This fund is about community showing up, wrapping our arms around Kingsley, and making sure she always knows how deeply loved and supported she is.”

Zack Saunders shared a moving message, saying,

“I am so thankful for how much you loved your family and everyone else who stepped foot in your life. You loved selflessly, you loved hard, and you knew all the things to say! It feels like I am in a dream and just can’t wake up; this doesn’t seem real. You were the best sister, the most wonderful mother, and I know you would have made the best wife to someone. I’m so sorry that life was cut short… Your drive and determination were inspirational! Our family won’t be the same without you.”

Allison Hadsock also posted a heartfelt note:

“I honestly have no words. I’ve cried and cried over the news I found out this morning, and my heart is just shattered. Taylor Staley, my sweet girl you were always so bright and beautiful. I’ve watched you grow up since you were in diapers, and seeing all of your accomplishments throughout your life has meant so much to me. This hurts… it hurts so deeply… You were such an incredible person—inside and out—and I am beyond saddened by this loss. I love you so much, and I pray that Kingsley will always know just how amazing of a mama she had. Rest in peace, beautiful girl.”
