North Carolina Mother Alleges The Miller Family and a Football Coach Ignored Legal Custody Rules and Allowed Her Son to Run Away

A North Carolina mother is raising serious concerns after claiming that a local football coach and the Miller family disregarded court-ordered custody rules, ultimately enabling her son to run away.

Krista Lynn Cartwright, the boy’s mother, said she had provided the school and involved parties with the legal custody guidelines, but they were allegedly ignored.

According to Cartwright, her son is now classified as a runaway while in the non-secure custody of a member of the Miller family.

She expressed frustration over the family’s role, questioning whether they were aware of past court-ordered requirements, including drug testing for her children’s father.

My mom is the supervisor according to the orders, so I wonder how illegal this family goes?” Cartwright wrote in a recent social media post.

She added that the situation escalated during the holidays, leaving her “tailspinning” and struggling to maintain stability for her children.

Cartwright also shared that her attempts to intervene before the Miller family became involved were unsuccessful.

She described the ongoing situation as a “real sad situation at the holidays” and expressed concern about the influence of Brittany Miller, whom she said has personal motives.

Despite the personal stress, Cartwright highlighted moments of positivity, including supporting other children during a trip from Florida, and posted photos to document her involvement in their lives.

She emphasized her determination to rise from the situation and continue advocating for her family.

Friends and supporters responded with encouragement on social media.

Lisa Danner Schneider urged Cartwright to maintain good relationships with the children, while others offered prayers and words of support.

This case raises broader questions about adherence to legal custody arrangements in North Carolina schools and community environments.

Cartwright’s allegations underscore the importance of ensuring that court-ordered custody rules are respected to protect the welfare of children.

As the situation develops, authorities and legal representatives may need to intervene to clarify custody responsibilities and ensure the child’s safety.
