Kyan Evans’s parents have been happily married for over 27 years, building a strong foundation of support and dedication.

An American college basketball player, Kyan Evans, started his career at Colorado State University, playing for the Colorado State Rams in the Mountain West Conference.

He attended Staley High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where he had a decorated high school and AAU career before committing to Colorado State.

Recently, Evans transferred to the University of North Carolina (UNC), committing to play for the UNC Tar Heels in April 2025.

His move to UNC is seen as a major step in his career as he looks to continue developing as a point guard.

Kyan Evans’s Parents Have A Strong Background In Education!

Kyan was born to parents Stacey and Steve Evans in Kansas City, Missouri.

Both of them attended the same college, Wayne State College, and it seems that they met either during their college days or high school days.

The couple tied the knot on June 27, 1998, as evident from their social media life event.

Both of his parents are in the education field. His mother, Stacey, is a READING SPECIALIST in the North Kansas City School District.

Similarly, his father, a resident of Sioux City, Iowa, was a school principal before transitioning to work as a financial advisor.

Their background in education has played a significant role in shaping Kyan into a well-rounded individual, both on and off the basketball court.

Originally from Marcus, Iowa, Stacey Evans often shares family moments on her Facebook, highlighting the close bond they share.

As evident from his Instagram post, it seems like Evans had a strong and meaningful connection with his grandmother.

His heartfelt post on February 22, 2023, suggests that his grandmother was a deeply important figure in his life. He wrote:

I’m going to the top for you, grandma. I love you eternally. Watch over me as I do this for you.

His words imply that she may have passed away or really far away from him, and he is dedicating his journey and success to her memory.

It reflects a strong emotional bond and a sense of motivation drawn from her influence.

It seems that Kyan Evans has kept his social media presence mostly career-focused, with limited personal posts.

His online activity primarily revolves around basketball, including his performances, achievements, and career updates.
