Micah Shrewsberry And His Wife, Molly, Were High School Sweetheart!
Molly Shrewsberry is the wife of former basketball player and head coach Micah Shrewsberry.
After moving to Indianapolis because of his father’s work, Micah rubbed elbows with Molly, his future wife, at Cathedral High School.
Molly and Micah were excellent athletes, and their shared love for basketball brought them closer.
They became high school sweethearts, and their mutual passion grew into a lovely relationship as time passed.
Micah gradually excelled and began his career as a graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis.
After that, he spent a few years hopping between lower-level positions, one year at Division III Wabash and two years at Depauw.
He toiled to support himself, even taking on the role of house dad at a Depauw fraternity.
However, Molly always stood by Micah’s side despite the uncertainty and instability in his life.
The couple tied the knot in 2003. From high school sweethearts to life-long companions, they came a long way.
But, unbeknownst to them, Micah’s career took an unexpected turn after their marriage.
Micah soon received an offer to become the director of basketball operations at Marshall University.
After four years of trying to make a significant breakthrough while relying on Molly and his family to keep him on track and make things work financially, the then-tier III assistant finally reached the top tier of collegiate basketball.
However, the coaching profession is very challenging. While Micah’s career brought financial stability for the family, frequent relocations and rigid schedules distanced him from his family.
Nevertheless, after Micah accepted a job at the School of Medicine, he gained stability in his married life.
Micah and his wife, Molly, welcomed their first of four children, their son Braeden.
Micah debuted at 29 as head coach at Indiana University South Bend, where he spent three seasons.
He eventually became the head coach of big collegiate teams such as the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Micah’s wife, Molly, was his primary support system throughout his career, constantly believing and encouraging him.
