Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s kicker Mitch Jeter sends his team to the College Football Playoff National Championship game with his powerful kick.

The Fighting Irish received their ticket to the national championship game with a 41-yard field goal from kicker Mitch Jeter.

They defeated Penn State with 27-24 points in the Orange Bowl semifinal on Thursday, January 10, 2025.

Furthermore, it is the first championship appearance for Notre Dame in the CFP, which started in 2014.

Jeter kicked his first 41-yard field goal, contributing to his team’s victory. Before Mitch Jeter’s game-winning field goal, Kickers were 0-4 in CFP history on go-ahead field goals in the fourth quarter.

Likewise, Notre Dame will now play in Atlanta in the CFP national championship game on Monday, January 20.

This remarkable performance of Mitch Jeter has become a proud moment for his parents, who have been his constant source of support.

Talking about his parents, Mitch Jeter was born Mitchell Hayden Jeter on August 27, 2001, in Salisbury, North Carolina, to father Andrew Jeter and mother Stacy Jeter.

His parents often appear at Jeter’s games to cheer him on and motivate him. During the recent game, his father, Andrew Jeter, was in the stands when Mitch Jeter hit the game-winning field goal.

Despite coming from a medical background, his parents, Andrew and Stacy Jeter, helped and supported their son Mitch Jeter to pursue his football career.

His father, Andrew, is a chiropractor, whereas his mother, Stacy, is a radiologist.

Likewise, Mitch’s father runs a Chiropractic center named Jeter Chiropractic in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Andrew established Jeter Chiropractic in November 1993 and has successfully run the business for over 31 years.

He graduated from Palmer College Chiropractic- Davenport with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1993 and has been serving patients as a licensed chiropractor for over 30 years.

Regarding Mitch’s mother, Stacy Pochowicz Jeter is a radiology and mammography technologist. However, very little information about her professional life is available.

Moreover, Andrew and Stacy first met while attending East Carolina University. Andrew was a varsity swimmer for the Pirates.
