Since Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic turned 37, many gossiped about his retirement, which he addressed a week ago, saying that those who want to see him retire must watch him a little longer as he has no such plan anytime soon.
Almost a week after Novak Djokovic rubbished his retirement talk, his wife, Jelena ‘Ristic’ Djokovic, displayed her confidence in her husband’s ability to leave a mark in the tennis world even at the age of 37, especially after his recent Golden Slam Victory.
Despite losing to Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon finals, Novak made it to the Paris Olympics and secured a gold medal for his country. That appears to have made his wife confident about him, so she believes her husband has a long way to go.
During an interview with La Nacion, the athlete’s spouse reminisces the enthralling moments of the Paris Olympics and said,
I was crying with happiness, but while I was crying, I was thinking, ‘Oh my God, what will his next goal be? ‘ because he will certainly not stop here. What’s next?’ I don’t know, but it’s incredible.

Well, Jelena has always been very supportive of Novak’s tennis career from a very starting point. She has always stood behind him despite his busy schedule.
While having an exclusive talk with Daily Mail back in 2013, Jelena stated,
But I have to be careful as I don’t want to get too emotional and distract Novak. It’s about what the guys want. We don’t want them to see us get emotional. When I’m at home watching him on the TV, I get even more passionate because I know the cameras aren’t on me.

Jelena also gushed about her responsibility towards Novak as his emotional partner. She said her only job was to keep her then-boyfriend relaxed before his matches.
Not only that, but Jelena has also attended many of his matches to show her support for her husband. She has witnessed Novak’s win at Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, the French Open, the Australian Open, and many others, of which she is pretty proud.
On February 27, 2023, Novak Djokovic’s wife shared a sweet clip of her and her husband dancing on her Instagram, stating that her hubby is ‘THE BEST TENNIS PLAYER FOR THE LONGEST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF TENNIS.’
Tennis Player Novak Djokovic And His Wife Jelena Has Been Together Since High School!
Novak Djokovic and his then-future wife, Jelena Ristic, first met while attending high school in their native country, Serbia. Soon, the two strangers turned into sweethearts and started dating in 2005.
Jelena was with Novak while his tennis career progressed, and in between, she also got occupied with her studies and career. She flew to Milan to study luxury brand management at Bocconi University.
Both of them struggled at the time with their busy schedules, yet they made their relationship work out. Regarding the matter, she once told Hello Magazine,
Us getting together was like science fiction almost. I was a student barely getting by, and he was a very young tennis player who also had no money to spare on expensive trips. Airplanes were, at the time, something utterly out of our reach. We contrived and devised these plans how to meet, how to make our relationship work.

Jelena also revealed that at one point, Novak even told her they could not work out their relationship the way it was. So, after completing her studies, Jelena moved in with Novak, and they started living together in Monte Carlo.
The couple got engaged in 2013, and a year later, they married in Sveti Steffan, a small coastal town in Montenegro.
The marriage ceremony garnered media attention because it took place less than a week after Novak won his second Wimbledon championship.
It’s been a decade since the high school sweethearts have been gracefully leading their marriage. Recently, in July 2024, they celebrated their 10th marriage anniversary.
Novak took to his Instagram to flaunt the deep relationship that he has with his wife, writing a lengthy caption, which read,
Ten years of joy, Ten years of dreams,
