Lane Kiffin, an American football head coach of the Ole Miss, is back together with his wife, Layla Reaves. They were married for 12 years before divorcing in 2016.

The married couple had three children: Landry, Presley, and Knox. They grew up in an athletic household and are pursuing a career in sports.

Lane Kiffin reconciled with his wife but lost his precious mother, Robin Kiffin, on June 17, 2025.

The Ole Miss football community and the broader sports world are mourning the loss of Robin at the age of 81.

She was the wife of the late Monte Kiffin, a legendary NFL defensive coordinator and longtime assistant coach who worked alongside Lane at Ole Miss before his passing on July 11, 2024.

They were married for over 50 years and raised three children, Lane, Chris, and Heidi, in a family deeply rooted in the sport of football.

Lane honored his mother in a heartfelt Instagram story, sharing a photo of Robin surrounded by family. His touching tribute reflects the deep bond between his parents, who were inseparable.

Will miss you Mom. Thank you for everything and say hi to Pops. I’m glad your broken heart can now be healed with him again.

Lane Kiffin And Layla Reaves’ Love Story Of Redemption

Lane Kiffin’s journey has been one of highs, lows, and redemption.

His wife, Layla Reaves Kiffin, is the center of his comeback, the woman who stood by him through triumphs, struggles, and a heartfelt reunion after they were apart for years.

Lane and Layla first met during their time at the University of Tennessee, where Lane served as the offensive coordinator and Layla as an assistant volleyball coach.

Their connection blossomed, and they married in 2004, building a life together for 12 years, during which they raised three children: Landry, Presley, and Knox.

However, their marriage ended in 2016. Lane acknowledged that his battles with alcohol played a significant role in thier split.

After a lot of careful thought and consideration, Layla and I have mutually decided to divorce. We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority. We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children. We will have no further comments and appreciate respect for our family’s privacy.

She has committed to play volleyball for the USC Trojans. The Kiffin family couldn’t be prouder of her determination, even though the distance will be tough.

Nonetheless, 17-year-old Monte Knox Kiffin, the youngest child, is already making waves in the football world.

The Palos Verdes High School freshman has drawn attention from multiple college programs, getting offers from Georgia State, SMU, Arkansas State, and Western Kentucky.
