Nevaeh Preston, a 17-year-old former cheerleader and softball player, is fighting for her life at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Both of her lungs are collapsed, and she is on an ECHO machine, which is breathing for her.

Nevaeh Preston is a 17-year-old high school senior with a fierce spirit.

She is renowned for her vibrant energy and has embraced all the life and fight ahead of her.

As a cheerleader, she lifted spirits with her enthusiasm and demonstrated teamwork and determination on the softball diamond.

Her most important role was being a true friend to many in her school and throughout her community. Her connection and promises incredibly impacted the world around her.

Community Rallies for Nevaeh as She Fights with Both Lungs Collapsed

Nevaeh Preston is a young girl with a fighting spirit. She is in a critical battle at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Her family and medical team are rallying around her as she faces a serious health crisis.

Nevaeh is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Both of her lungs have collapsed, and she is relying on an ECMO machine to breathe for her.

Moreover, she is also being treated for cardio hypertension and pneumonia. Her dedicated health team is working tirelessly alongside her family.

Please continue your prayers for Neveah! She is currently on an ECMO machine, ventilator, with chest tubes in both her lungs, and is literally having to fight for her life! She is 17, a senior in high school with so much more life to live and fight for! She needs all the prayers she can get!! (And her momma too!) tia

Her grandmother, Kim Griggs, has started a GoFundMe fundraiser to support the family during the difficult time.

The goal is to help with living expenses and food costs so the family can remain focused on Nevaeh’s care. The family has also shared that receiving cards of encouragement would be welcome.

Nevaeh is a true fighter who is holding onto hope and believes that with prayer, expert care, and faith, she will overcome this battle.
