Padraig Harrington has been married to his childhood love, his wife Caroline, for 27 years. The couple first met at their local golf club at Stackstown in their teenage years.
Caroline left behind her own career as an insurance broker at 24 and traveled alongside her husband to watch him play golf.
The lovebirds together reside in their beautiful home in South County Dublin with two kids: Patrick and Ciaran.
The Irish professional golfer started his professional career by joining the European Tour in 1995 after winning Walker Cup with the Ireland team in his amateur career.
Making his first European victory in the following year, Padraig also won the 1998 Irish PGA Championship. Moreover, he made his Ryder Cup debut in 1999.
However, Harrington took PGA Tour membership only in 2005 and later won the PGA Championship in 2008.
The 2008 PGA Tour Player of the Year and the two times European Tour Golfer of the Year has won Two Open Championships and one PGA Championship in his career.
Furthermore, the Dublin born has also been named 2022 PGA Tour Champions Rookie of the Year and 2008 European Tour Players’ Player of the Year.
It was announced in March 2023 that Harrington would be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024.

Padraig Harrington’s wife, who grew up in South County Dublin with her younger sister Susie, is the daughter of an insurance broker named Dermot.
When she was in school, Caroline Gregan had a passion for math and physics. In addition to her academic interests, Caroline also enjoyed playing badminton and table tennis and participating in athletics.
Growing up, her father was a table tennis player and coach who had won Ireland’s all-Ireland pitch and putt championship.
Gregan spent many hours by his side watching sports such as snooker, darts, and golf.
She met Padraig through her father, who was a passionate sports enthusiast and a member of the Stackstown golf club.
After getting a business degree, Caroline quit her job as an insurance broker when she was 24. She decided to travel around the world to watch her husband, a three-time Major Champion.
Mrs. Harrington currently collaborates with her husband to create women’s golf attire for Dunnes Stores under her husband’s name.
Additionally, she is responsible for coordinating the yearly Crystal Ball event for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
She feels that if her life had taken a different path, she may have pursued a career in event management.
Padraig Harrington And Caroline Relationship Timeline
Caroline and Padraig first met during their teenage years at Stackstown, a local golf club in South County Dublin.
In 1989, she was a juvenile member of Stackstown at the age of 16. During this time, she had the opportunity to watch an 18-year-old Padraig compete in a junior tournament.
It was a few months before Padraig mustered up the courage to ask her out. For their first date, he took her to the cinema.
The next time she saw Padraig was during her father’s club match. Together, they watched the movie “Road House,” starring Patrick Swayze, on a chilly December evening.
Their relationship flourished and eventually led to marriage in December 1997.
In 2003, they welcomed their first child, Patrick, and then had their second son, Ciaran, in 2007.
The couple now resides in a lovely home on over two acres of land in Rathmicheal, located in South County Dublin near their childhood neighborhood.
