Brad Snyder, a Paralympic swimmer and champion, has built a beautiful life with his wife, Sara Snyder, since their 2019 marriage in Saint Michaels, Maryland.
Born on February 29, 1984, in Reno, Nevada, Brad Snyder is a U.S. Paralympic swimmer and former Navy officer.
He lost his eyesight in 2011 due to an IED explosion in Afghanistan.
He won multiple gold and silver medals at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Paralympic Games, including gold in freestyle events in London and Rio, and in paratriathlon in Tokyo.
Snyder is also the world record holder for the 100-meter freestyle among blind swimmers.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he was captain of the swim team and later served in Afghanistan.
He co-authored the memoir Fire in My Eyes, is a spokesperson for Eone Timepieces, and is an athlete for Team Toyota.
