Parents Raise Alarms at Kinston School Over Reported Sexual Harassment, Violence, Gun Threats, and Administrative Inaction

When schools ignore harassment and threats, safety collapses and accountability becomes a community’s urgent demand.

At Kinston School, serious allegations have surfaced involving repeated sexual harassment, physical violence, and even gun threats by a student named Griffin Fountain.

Reports claim he touched female students without consent, kicked another student in the stomach, and created conflict by tattling on minor issues.

Despite these troubling incidents, Coach Hart allegedly ignored victim and witness reports, issued minimal discipline, and punished other students for avoiding Griffin.

This pattern of favoritism, combined with administrative inaction, including Vice Principal Mrs. Barron reportedly letting Griffin off with only a warning after a gun threat, has raised alarms among parents and students.

The consequences are clear: a climate of fear, unsafe learning conditions, and violations of Alabama’s Jamari Terrell Williams Student Bullying Prevention Act.

This case requires a thorough investigation of harassment, violence, and threats.

The Kids School Safety Organization brought these concerns to light in a Facebook post.

The page detailed the incidents and called out the failures of school staff and administrators.

Additionally, the author focused on accountability, brought out that multiple students are filing official reports and urging parents to take action by contacting the school directly.

The post concluded with an appeal:

Facts only—dates, witnesses, details strengthen the case. Safety demands accountability. Stand united.

The Kids School Safety Organization continued to update the community with additional posts, noting that they had received multiple student and parent reports about the ongoing “Griffin Fountain” situation.

They are also encouraging others to share further details or report misbehavior directly.

In a subsequent post, they highlighted a specific incident on January 14, 2025, around 2 PM CST, where Griffin allegedly made a weapon threat toward three students, with witnesses identifying the suspected weapon as a gun.

Although no weapon was ultimately found, witnesses reported that administrators and teachers were notified, yet little action followed.

These allegations shed light on how school authorities, including coaches and administrators, failed to act decisively despite repeated reports.

Additionally, this shows the tension between student safety and institutional inaction.

A place that needs to be safe for students must ensure more than just physical security; it should foster trust, fairness, and accountability.
