19-year-old Kyle Gilbert has been arrested and charged with 2 counts of Reckless Conduct and 1 felony count of Involuntary Manslaughter in connection to Tyrae’s death.
On February 23, 2025, 16-year-old Tyrae Campbell, a student-athlete at Pataula Charter Academy in Cuthbert, Georgia, was fatally shot on Morgan Street.
The incident has left the community in mourning and has prompted his mother, Raquel Warren, to demand transparency and justice in the investigation.

The GBI arrested 19-year-old Kyle Gilbert, charging him with two counts of reckless conduct and one felony count of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Campbell’s death.
