Patrick Mahomes Is A Proud Biracial With African-Caucasian Roots Inherited From His Parents

Kansas City Chiefs football quarterback Patrick Mahomes proudly boasts a multiracial heritage, with African and Caucasian lineage from his father, Pat Mahomes, and mother, Randi Martin, respectively, on and off the field.

Not many of you might know, but Patrick Mahomes is a multi-sport athlete who excelled in baseball, basketball, and football during high school.

The quarterback attended Texas Tech University, playing football and baseball before focusing solely on football.

The Detroit Tigers drafted him in the 2014 MLB Draft; nonetheless, he chose to pursue football instead.

The Chiefs drafted Patrick as the 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. After starting quarterback in 2018, he established his name in the sport in nearly no time.

So far, he has earned several recognitions and accolades, including being named Super Bowl MVP after leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory in 2020.

Outside the field, Patrick is a philanthropist involved in several charitable works through his foundation, 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.

Patrick Mahomes is of Mixed Race, Both Black And White, Passed Down From His Parents!

Patrick Mahomes, of biracial background, was born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, to parents Pat Mahomes Sr., of African-American descent, and Randi Martin, who is Caucasian.

His biracial heritage has had nothing but a significant influence on Patrick’s identity and outlook on life.

The quarterback takes great pride in his multi-racial lineage and occasionally expresses his love for his mixed ethnicity across social media platforms.

In interviews, Patrick has expressed how he embraces both sides of his heritage, stating,

I’m proud to be Black. And I’m proud to have a white mom, too. I’m just proud of who I am”.

In 2020, Patrick gave his bold take during an interview with Clay Skipper of GQ in response to people labeling him “not full Black,” saying,

I’ve seen how people, on Twitter, have tweeted and said, ‘Oh, you’re not full Black.’ But I’ve always just had the confidence and believed in who I am. And I’ve known that I’m Black. And I’m proud to be Black. And I’m proud to have a white mom too. I’m just proud of who I am. And I’ve always had that confidence in myself.

A user penned a bold and lengthy critique expressing frustration about how perceptions of race can shift based on someone’s success or failure, writing,

If Mahomes was failing or isn’t the superstar he’s become, they would say he’s black. But, because he’s become a superstar and successful they will say oh your not all the way black. Typical racist talk. Inferiority complex!

Despite Separating in 2006, Patrick Mahomes’s Parents Maintained a Healthy Co-parenting Relationship!

The 30-year-old quarterback Patrick isn’t the only successful athlete in his family.

Behind his success lies a family history brimming with sports achievements. His athletic inclination comes from his father, Pat Mahomes Sr., a former Major League Baseball pitcher.

During the peak of his career, Pat played for coveted teams like the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox.

While his mother, Randi, doesn’t belong to the sports fraternity, she is an event planner and a homemaker.

The couple walked down the aisle in the late 1990s, shortly after they crossed paths following Randi’s high school graduation.

Randi reportedly kept a hold on her career, prioritizing her children and family as any devoted mother would.

However, unlike their intended marriage, which was to last a lifetime, their marital relationship went sour, and they divorced in 2006 after 17 years together.

Despite their divorce, they maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship and had no beef, evident in their occasional appearances together.

Thus far, the prime reason behind their failed married life remains unknown.

Both Pat and Randi wholeheartedly support Patrick, and the player reciprocates their respect and love.

Recently, Randi shared an emotional photo of herself watching Patrick’s win from the hospital while she asked for prayers for her hospitalized father.
