Elizabeth “Lisa” Brown-Miller, born November 16, 1966, in Union Lake, Michigan, was a former American ice hockey player and Olympic gold medalist.
She played for the Providence Friars, earning All-Eastern College Athletic Conference honors and being named ECAC Player of the Year.
Brown-Miller was a key member of the United States Women’s National Team, competing in multiple World Championships from 1990 to 1997.

Beyond hockey, she had a variety of interests and activities. She enjoyed mountain biking, running, and water skiing, reflecting her love for outdoor sports and adventure.
She was also passionate about photography and frequently went on hikes to explore nature.
Additionally, her home was filled with pets, including cats, a dog, a chinchilla, a bunny, and guinea pigs.
Her legacy as a trailblazer in women’s hockey and a devoted wife and mother will forever inspire generations on and off the ice.
