Moe Odum, a junior point guard for the Pepperdine Waves men’s basketball team, is drawing curiosity about his personal life, including details about his parents.

NCAA star Moe Odum, who joined Pepperdine University’s men’s basketball team for the 2024-25 season, has showcased his exceptional basketball skills, winning the hearts of millions.

Odum led the Pepperdine Waves to a 78-76 victory over the Santa Clara Broncos in a recent West Coast Conference Tournament quarterfinal.

He scored 19 points, had 5 rebounds, and recorded 13 assists, which were crucial for the Waves’ victory.

Before the WCC tournament quarterfinals, Moe led his team to back-to-back victories in the WCC tournament’s second and third rounds.

Moe scored 31 points and dished out 11 assists to lead the Waves to an 86-73 victory over the Portland Pilots in the second round of the WCC Tournament.

Similarly, he scored 17 points in the third round’s 77-73 victory over the Oregon State Beavers.

Moe Odum Began His Basketball Journey From A Very Young Age

The NCAA star Moe Odum began his basketball journey at Union City High School in New Jersey, where he showcased his scoring prowess.

Over three seasons, Odum averaged an impressive 19.4 points per game. His sophomore year was particularly remarkable, as he surpassed the 1000 career point mark with a total of 736 points that season.

After showcasing his exceptional basketball skills at Union City High, he transferred to West Oaks Academy in Florida for his senior year.

During his tenure at West Oaks Academy, Moe led the team to a 21-record, averaging 24 points, five assists, and four rebounds per game.

His outstanding performance earned him Sunshine Independent Athletic Association All-Conference honors.

Moreover, Odum began his collegiate career at the University of the Pacific in 2022, where he quickly made an impact.

As a freshman during the 2022-23 season, he played 31 games, starting in 18.

He averaged 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game, shooting 43.7% from the field.

Likewise, Odum’s efforts were recognized when he was named to the West Coast Conference (WCC) All-Freshman Team and earned WCC Freshman of the Week honors on January 9, 2023.

During his sophomore season (2023-24), Odum continued to improve, ranking third in the WCC in assists (4.6 per game) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5).

A standout moment came when he recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds against San Francisco, becoming the first Pacific player to achieve a points-assists double-double since 2020.

Moe led the team with 38 steals and reached double figures in scoring 10 times, including a season-high 21 points against Santa Clara.
