Current Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles’ linebacker Nolan Smith and his girlfriend, Aubrey Deitch, aren’t shy about showing their love for one another. The young couple met while pursuing their dreams and degrees at the University of Georgia.
Smith, 24, a Savannah native, became a Super Bowl Champion on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome as the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22.
The Eagle’s defense was elite against the former champions as they held the Chiefs to 225 total yards and forced three turnovers, including a second-quarter Cooper DeJean interception that he returned for a touchdown.
In his rookie year, in 2023, Smith didn’t start a single game, but in 2024, the running back started ten games and made 21 solo tackles and 21 assist tackles.
The Eagles Defensive Ends/Outside Linebackers Coach Jeremiah Washburn complimented the young linebacker, saying this year Smith has taken the details of the game to heart.
Smith played for IMG Academy in high school and also attended Calvary Day School.
As a senior, Smith was named to the USA Today All-USA High School Football Team and was rated as the number one player in the country.
At Georgia, Smith established himself as one of the linebackers. In his junior year, Smith led the Bulldogs in tackles in the Capital One Orange Bowl.
The linebacker certainly has a bright future ahead of him and is looking to remain with the team for a long time.
