Robert Slisz was both a teacher and the boys’ varsity basketball coach at Pine Valley Central School District in Chautauqua County, New York.

His dual role placed him in a position of influence over students academically and athletically.

Throughout this role, he was responsible for guiding classroom learning as well as leading the school’s basketball program.

According to local reporting, Slisz had been employed by Pine Valley as a teacher and coach prior to the allegations that surfaced in December 2025.

On December 3, 2025, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Pine Valley School District regarding Robert Slisz, a 33‑year‑old teacher and basketball coach from Hamburg.

Following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division, Slisz was charged with Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, Forcible Touching, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

He later turned himself in at the Chautauqua County Jail for CAP arraignment and is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Cherry Creek Court.

The allegations have raised serious concerns within the community, leading to immediate administrative action and ongoing law enforcement proceedings.
