The entire Florida community is coming together to support the young and dedicated Flanagan High School varsity football player, Jaden Page, who is fighting cancer.
Jaden Page is an 18-year-old guy from Florida who’s facing a really tough fight right now. Everyone who knows him says he’s a person who makes everyone feel at home.
He is a senior at Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and he has been playing on the varsity football team as a wide receiver.
Football has been a big part of his life, and he has dreams of taking it further into college while also planning to study sports medicine as a career. However, from a couple of months back, he is dealing with some tough times regarding his health.
Reportedly, a couple of months back, Jaden started dealing with a dry cough that just wouldn’t go away, along with some chest pain.
Over two months, the family tried home remedies and even albuterol treatments to help with breathing, thinking it might be something simple.
However, things kept getting worse, so they went to the emergency room. The doctors ran a bunch of tests, including biopsies and CT scans, and that’s when they discovered cancer was affecting his lymph nodes and kidneys.
Right now, the medical team is carefully figuring out the primary source of the cancer since it can travel through the lymphatic system.
They want to be sure they choose the best possible treatment plan. From what the family has shared, chemotherapy will definitely be part of what Jaden goes through.
Meanwhile, this entire situation has been a difficult time for him and his family; however, they are staying strong by leaning on God and the doctors who are guiding his care.

Whereas Jaden gets a lot of his strength from his relationship with God, his brothers, who are always there for him, and the circle of family and friends who keep showing up with love, words of encouragement, and lots of prayers.
It’s clear how much support means to him during this unexpected season.
Hence, Melinda Julmiste has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover Jaden’s medical bills and all the extra costs that come with the treatment.
So far, they have raised $3,797 out of $11,000, which is about 35% of the way there, and donations like the $50 from Eva A Matute show how people are stepping up to help.
Every little bit helps, whether it’s a donation, a prayer, or just sharing the story so more people hear about it.
During this challenging time, we pray for Jaden’s speedy recovery.
