The North Carolina community is grieving the loss of Yesaya Moler, a vibrant 20-year-old former college athlete who died in a motorcycle accident in Fayetteville on April 29, 2025.
Yesaya has passed away, leaving his parents, Eric and Jasmin Moler, and their family in deep sorrow.

According to a Fayetteville Police Department news release, the accident occurred just after 5:35 p.m. during Tuesday afternoon rush hour near the intersection of Cliffdale Road and Bunce Road in west Fayetteville.
Yesaya, riding his beloved motorcycle, was involved in a collision that claimed his life.
Despite the swift response of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police reported.
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, but the loss of such a bright young soul has left the community reeling.
Yesaya Moler’s Life Was Full Of Passion And Promise
Yesaya Moler, born on December 29, 2004, in Pasadena, California, was the cherished son of Eric and Jasmin Moler.
Raised alongside his younger brother, Ezera, and sister, Saoirse, Yesaya grew up in a tight-knit family filled with love and encouragement.
His parents, Eric, a military major, and Jasmin, a dedicated CrossFit L-2 coach at Southern Pines CrossFit, instilled in him a sense of discipline, kindness, and zest for life.
Yesaya’s journey took him from California to New York, where he played football for Cornwall Central High School’s junior varsity and varsity teams from 2019 to 2022, excelling as an outside linebacker and defensive tackle.
After his family relocated to North Carolina, Yesaya continued his athletic career at Pinecrest High School, graduating in 2023.
Standing at an impressive 6’3”, he wore the #6 jersey with pride.
Under the guidance of coach Bob Curtin, he dominated the field as a defensive end and outside linebacker.
Yesaya also showcased his strength and versatility as a wrestler, forging deep bonds with teammates through countless hours of practice and tournaments.
Beyond high school, Yesaya attended Sandhills Community College, where he continued to pursue his education with the same enthusiasm he brought to athletics.
His passions extended beyond sports; he loved riding his motorcycle, a hobby that gave him a sense of freedom, and weightlifting alongside his mother, Jasmin, whose dedication to fitness inspired him.

Yesaya Moler’s radiant smile and infectious positivity could transform any room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Friends and teammates remember him as kind, generous, and full of life, someone who embraced every moment with open arms.
One teammate, James Ayars, shared:
“Yesaya and I were teammates as wrestlers and classmates for several classes, we spent many hours together during practices and tournaments. He was a good man and will be dearly missed.”

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on May 9, 2025, at Southern Pines United Methodist Church, followed by graveside services at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen.
A celebration of life reception will occur at 4 p.m. at Southern Pines CrossFit, a fitting tribute to Yesaya’s connection to his mother’s passion for fitness and community.
