Josue Curiel, 22, of Perry, Iowa, tragically passed away due to a rollover automobile accident on January 24, 2025.
The accident occurred around 2:31 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 141 and R Avenue near Woodward, Iowa.
According to a statement by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the site of a single-vehicle accident.
They found Josue dead in his 2005 Chevy Impala, which had crashed into a power pole and rolled over several times.
The reason for the accident is unknown, and his body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for further examination.
Josue Curiel’s Parents Are Heartbroken Over The Loss Of Their Son
Josue Curiel was born to Felipe Curiel Castillo and Yolanda Sanchez.
His father comes from Des Moines, Iowa, whereas his mother is from Guachinango, Jalisco, Mexico.
The family is currently based in Perry, Iowa.
Josue’s friends and family remember him as lively and enthusiastic about grappling, frequently having moments of laughter with friends while engaging in sparring sessions.
The community has been left in deep suffering after hearing the news of Josue’s death.

The Facebook page “Deaths in Guachinango” has shared heartfelt condolences, expressing their sorrow and support during this difficult time, stating-:
