Iowa Hawkeyes promising player Pryce Sandfort has recently made headlines after giving a spectacular performance during the recent match against the Southern.

Pryce Sandfort was born on June 23, 2004, in Waukee, Iowa. He is an American basketball player well-known for his strong shooting and versatile scoring ability.

He played high school basketball at Waukee Northwest High School in Iowa. Sandfort is a promising sophomore forward for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Payton Sandfort Is The Older Brother Of Pryce Sandfort!

Pryce comes from a highly athletic family, where his father played basketball at Hastings College, while his mother played basketball at Simpson College.

Moreover, he is the younger brother of Payton Sandfort, who also played basketball at the University of Iowa.

Despite getting offers from Utah, Minnesota, Drake, Air Force, and Loyola Chicago, Payton committed to playing college basketball for the Hawkeyes.

After averaging 24.9 points, 11 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.7 blocks, and 1.7 steals as a senior, Pryce was named the 2023 Iowa Mr. Basketball.

Moreover, Pryce led Waukee Northwest to the Class 4A State Championship game. 

In 2022, he was ranked second in total rebounds. Similarly, Pryce led his team as a captain to 20 victories and the state quarterfinals as a junior.

Pryce also led Waukee to 23 victories, finishing the season as state runners-up in his first year.

The three-time academic all-state player averaged 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and two assists per game while playing for D1 Minnesota’s AAU club.

His profound talent and stability led him to become the small forward for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

At such a young age, Pryce has solidified his position as a promising prospect in college basketball. His shooting touch, basketball IQ, and defensive skills make him stand out.
