The Puyallup and Orting communities are in disbelief after the arrest of Brock Kasey Maxwell, a local baseball coach, on shocking charges of child pornography.

The arrest, which took place on July 31, 2025, has turned the life of this Eatonville native upside down and left parents, neighbors, and friends facing a disturbing truth.

Brock Maxwell was a familiar figure, coaching the Eatonville Youth Sports Association (EYSA) baseball teams and even leading his own daughters’ softball team.

Many kids looked up to him, and parents trusted him with their children.

But on July 14, 2025, the Pierce County Sheriff uncovered evidence that led to his arrest on four counts of dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree.

Court documents reveal the material included videos of children as young as 2 to 4 years old—a detail that has horrified the community.

The legal process began quickly.

An information filing was made on August 1, 2025, followed by a testimony for probable cause and other steps.

Maxwell was prosecuted on August 5, 2025, at 6:30 PM, with a return with attorney scheduled.

The prosecuting attorney, Ivy-Rose Kramer, is handling the case.

Screenshots of the Pierce County Superior Court Criminal Division’s Legal Information Network Exchange (LINX) calendar have spread across social media, spreading public outrage.

The case took an even more surprising turn with the revelation that Maxwell’s wife, Amanda Maxwell, a teacher at Firgrove Elementary, found a thumb drive containing child sexual abuse material about five years ago.

Despite this discovery around 2020, no action was taken at the time, leaving many to wonder why the information wasn’t reported sooner.

Brock and Amanda, parents of two daughters, now face harsh scrutiny as the community questions their family and moral responsibility.

News of Maxwell’s Arrest Has sparked a Firestorm on Social Media, especially on Facebook

While official details about his bail remain unconfirmed, one EYSA parent shared her frustration, writing,

“Oh, and he is currently OUT ON BAIL because Washington is a safe space for predators not victims!”

Social media posts show the depth of the community’s shock and betrayal. One user posted,

“I just saw this. So sick. This is why I don’t trust anyone. On the Eatonville Heads Up page, an EYSA member reported the post asking for it to be removed. Like wtf. Kicking the nicest guy ever out for praying, but they are trying to protect a monster? So disappointed in the program.”

Another raged,

“Another piece of crap PEDO!!!! 😡 Coaching little kids… and his wife is a Puyallup schoolteacher who knew about it 😡 BROCK MAXWELL.”

A third added,

“Horrible!!! And the sick part also is his wife knew about things years ago and did nothing. She’s just as guilty I think!!!!”

These reactions show the community’s demand for accountability.

Maxwell’s arrest has broken the trust of a community that once saw him as a role model.

His long history of coaching children’s sports, combined with his family life, makes the allegations even more troubling.

As the legal process continues, residents are calling for transparency and swift justice.

Additionally, the Pierce County Sheriff’s investigation is ongoing, and the public awaits updates on Maxwell’s bail status and upcoming trial.

On the other side, the tragic situation has angered the communities of Puyallup and Orting, highlighting the importance of protecting the vulnerable.

The community is united in hoping for a resolution that brings justice to the victims and closure to all affected.
