While Rafael Furcal’s wife, Glenny Furcal, doesn’t often appear in the media, her role as a dedicated wife and mother has been essential in maintaining their family’s foundation.

Rafael Furcal is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) shortstop who played for teams like the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, and St. Louis Cardinals.

He was named National League Rookie of the Year in 2000 and won a World Series with the Cardinals in 2011.

On May 14, 2025, Furcal was arrested in Florida and is facing felony charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.

According to the reports, he allegedly hit a truck driver in the hand with a rock during an altercation, claiming he was being attacked with a knife.

The incident reportedly occurred on May 12, and Furcal turned himself in to authorities two days later.

He was booked at the Broward County jail but was later released on bond.

This is not his first run-in with the law; he had previous arrests for driving under the influence in 2000 and 2004.
