Andrew Koziuk Was An Active Participant In Ultrarunning!

Born to Glen and Jodi Koziuk, Andrew Koziuk was a resident of Owosso, Michigan. He was the head coach for the Track & Field team at Rampart High School.

As evident from his Facebook bio, he previously worked at Lake City Community School.

He led a team to success in various competitions. One notable event was the Ram Jam Classic 2023, hosted by Rampart High School, where teams competed in multiple track and field events.

The team had a strong history, including multiple championships and individual achievements.

In December 2015, Koziuk celebrated his first trophy as head coach with pride and excitement.

Additionally, he participated in the San Juan Solstice 50 Mile Run, one of Colorado’s most challenging ultramarathons, for three consecutive years.

Having successfully completed the race twice before, he signed up for his third attempt in 2016.

He was not only a beloved figure in track and field but also a cherished family member.

A true nature enthusiast, he found joy in the great outdoors, whether trekking through hills, exploring mountains, or venturing on long walks surrounded by nature’s beauty.

He often spent quality time with his loved ones, enjoying outings and creating lasting memories.

Rampart High School Honors Coach Andrew Koziuk’s Legacy!

Head Coach Andrew had a significant impact on the school and community.

His passing left a void in the hearts of his family and community. He was a source of inspiration, kindness, and support to his team.

Alicia Griffen, his sister, posted a message on her Facebook inviting those touched by Andrew Koziuk’s life to attend a Vigil Service and funeral.

As per her, the Vigil Service for Andrew Koziuk will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Saint Patrick Catholic Parish in Colorado Springs, CO.

Similarly, the Funeral Catholic Mass is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the exact location, preceded by a Holy Rosary at 10:15 AM.

Rampart High School’s principal expressed his heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to Koziuk, saying:

We are devastated by the sudden loss of Mr. Koziuk. He was an integral part of our Rampart family, beloved by students and staff alike. His positive spirit and genuine compassion made our school a better place every day. He will be deeply missed by all of us.
