On Sunday, September 29, Kansas City Chiefs football wide receiver Rashee Rice was obliged to leave the game against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, due to a knee injury.

A few hours after the injury incident, something bizarre happened. Marsha, the mom of Rashee Rice, facing an accusation of stealing a package that contained two limited edition Chappell Roan records.

The news soon made media headlines after video footage of her swiping an item surfaced on the internet.

TMZ first obtained the footage showing the woman, allegedly the mom of Rashee Rice, walking in a doorway in a Chiefs no.4 Jersey with ‘Momma Rice’ written on the back. She returned from her direction, stopped by, looked at the camera, picked up the items, and walked away.

According to TMZ reports, the Texas resident who lost the package to the woman captured in the footage claimed that Rashee Rice’s mom, Kearney, stole the package. The theft report has been filed, but the issue has yet to be resolved.

As of now, neither Rashee Rice nor his mom, Kearney, has released any statement addressing the theft accusations.

Meanwhile, people are bashing Kearney and her family. On October 3, 2024, MLB football posted Kearney’s viral video footage on its Twitter page, where many commentators called the Rice family sick.

While one Twitter user wrote, “This family is not the smartest,” another commented, “I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. A thug raised by a thug.”

In this regard, another even dragged Rashee’s hit-and-run case in the commentary section, writing,

Wow who could’ve guessed!!! Omg I’m shocked!!! The same mom who raised a son to drive 120mph mid day drunk asf and then flee a scene after causing a 6 car pileup is stealing ppls packages when her son is rich? No way!

Well, in the meantime, the queries on why he is still playing also has made their way to the media for a hit-and-run incident that occurred in April, and this could affect Rashee Rice’s career.

Footballer Rashee Rice, whose professional career began just a year ago, scarred his image, most recently by injuring four people in a car accident!

Rashee Rice, who played football both in high school and college, began as an athlete professionally in 2023 after the Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the second round of the NFL draft.

Before the Chiefs drafted him, he set quite a decent record as a footballer. As a junior, Rashee became first-team all-district and later became a three-star recruit. He also won the title of Super Bowl Champion.

Well, with that, he became able to make it to mainstream sports, but within some time frame, he scarred his image by getting into the legal issue.

On March 30, 2024, he fell in a hit-and-run case. He was speeding his Lamborghini SUV on U.S. Highway 75 near University Boulevard in Northern Dallas, which caused an accident that damaged four other cars.

The incident was captured on camera, where Rashee was spotted leaving the scene without checking what had happened to others.

Later, the authorities released a statement saying,

The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information

During the investigation, authorities discovered that Rashee Rice drove the Lamborghini, which caused the accident.

After that, Dallas police issued an arrest warrant against the footballer and charged him with ‘aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.’

In this regard, Rashee apologized, issuing a statement that reads,

Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident.  take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident

With all this, many are curious about why he is yet on the team. However, as the team decided not to suspend him due to a legal issue, he is still playing.

Now, his mom, Marsha Kearney, got into a stealing incident; his months-old legal matter has once again popped up, pretty enough to rupture his career more or less.
